What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website — or a third-party service running on that website — stores in your browser. They're used to remember preferences, measure how a site is used, and, in the case of advertising, to help serve and measure ads. Similar technologies such as pixels, tags, and local storage work in a comparable way, and this policy covers them too.
Cookies GamepadTools Sets Itself
None for the tools. GamepadTools has no login, no accounts, and no server-side tracking of who you are. The testing tools — gamepad, mouse, GPU, and monitor — run entirely in memory in your browser tab, and your test results are never stored in a cookie or on our servers. The cookies described below are set by the third-party services that run analytics, advertising, and consent on the site.

We don't control the exact lifetime third parties set for their cookies, so we won't state retention periods here beyond what each provider publishes. Advertising
GamepadTools displays advertising through Journey by Mediavine. Mediavine and its partners use advertising cookies and similar technologies as described in the “Mediavine Programmatic Advertising” section of our Privacy Policy. If you reject personalized advertising, you will still see ads, but they will be contextual rather than based on your interests.
Consent
Visitors in regions where the law requires consent (including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland) see a consent banner on their first visit. Until you make a choice, non-essential analytics and advertising cookies are not set for those regions. Google Analytics uses Google Consent Mode, so analytics cookies respect the choice you make in the banner. Where US state privacy laws apply, the same tool lets you opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.

Blocking cookies does not prevent the tools from functioning, because the tools do not rely on cookies to perform their tests.
